Panda Express construction set to begin soon on St. Michael Drive, restaurant expected to open February 2022


This lot across the street from Red Lobster on St. Michael Drive will be the location of Panda Express in Texarkana. Construction should begin in the fall of this year. The new restaurant should open in mid-February.

TEXARKANA, Texas — Panda Express is coming to Texarkana.

A large lot in front of Red Lobster on St. Michael Drive has been cleared and leveled. Utility support has been put in.

Actual construction on the Texarkana Panda Express should begin this fall. They aim for an opening date of mid-February 2022.

Kosher market and deli named Bubbies set to open, Hope St. Providence

PROVIDENCE — After three-plus months of pop-ups, Bubbie’s Market and Deli will fully open on Sunday.

“We are the busiest store that isn’t open,” said Jeffrey Ingber, co-owner with Freda Ronkin of the kosher Jewish deli. 

Since they unlocked their back door for limited Passover grocery shopping on March 3, business has been steady while they renovated the store. There have been plenty of calls of, “Can I swing by and get something?” said Ingber.

“They can walk through the front door; that’s a big change,” Ingber said.
