La Diva Mexican Kitchen opens, promises “fresh, real” Mexican food

PORT ORANGE – Situated behind a gas station on Ridgewood Avenue, the new La Diva Mexican Kitchen’s goal is to offer one of the freshest Mexican food options in the area.

Chef and owner Jennifer Ruiz Santiago opened La Diva in mid-August after working at the same location at 3790 Ridgewood Ave. with other partners under another name, MexiGo Mexican Grill.

O’mei’s menu dishes fresh flavor

Leaving another restaurant at Tamiami Square in North Naples, I saw the nearby O’mei and my stomach sank.

I hadn’t visited this upscale Chinese restaurant since it returned to this plaza off U.S. 41 earlier this year. Then my stomach growled when I remembered how delicious O’mei can be.

Athens native and restaurateur Peter Dale designed Maepole to solve a problem in his daily life: He was often in a hurry and needed to get a quick, healthy meal. Based on its success in Athens, he and his partners decided to open a second Maepole location in Atlanta.

Teriyaki Madness brings fresh fast-food to Weld County

Finding fast food is easy. Finding fresh, healthy fast-food, well, that can be a whole other story.

If you do find a healthy option, the wilted lettuce in the salad or dried piece of grilled chicken on the enormous bun are good signs that these items weren’t made to order.
