Food Truck Friday: Gilded Tomato making pizza healthy

REHOBOTH – Julia Sweet and her crew at The Gilded Tomato are producing pizza as nutritious as feasible, with an eco-pleasant twist.

It can be what you get when you produce meals in a right-to-farm community.

“You might be going to be working with the seems of roosters crowing. The natural smells. All the web sites that you would see at a farm,” Sweet explained to WBZ-Tv from her farm in Rehoboth.

Julia Sweet has carried out the unthinkable. She created the transformation from health pro to earning wholesome pizzas with her catering truck and oven.

“So I owned a health and fitness studio, conditioning mom studio, and ‘muscles and minds’ was our system. When my husband needed to do these ovens and make pizzas, we claimed let’s test and do it the very best way we can. Wellness is so critical in the United States and pizza is so common, so let us put it jointly,” she said.

But it really is all more than that. Julia and her staff members had been winners of the 2018 smaller company of the calendar year. Also, everything in this method is eco-helpful.

“We also serve the neighborhood, performing group activities, professional bono and just staying great to mother nature. Pollinator fields and bees and birds and all the things we can aid to support all the farmers in the region,” Sweet instructed WBZ.

Just a wonderful pizza that, by the way, only will take 90 seconds to make. When you contact Julia and her team to cater, they get the job done with style and flavor, although making sure remaining healthier is a quality with clean herbs, vegetables, and even organic and natural meat.

“We do not want to inform little ones that they are getting 40-percent total wheat, but it can be excellent,” she claimed.
