Balsall Common is to host its first food festival event this July, and it promises to be a fantastic summer event for local foodies and families. Organisers of Balsall Common Food Fest say it will bring “a world of tantalising food and drink, all perfectly wrapped up in a festival”
The all-day festival will take place on July 30, 2022 at Balsall and Berkswell Hornets FC, Balsall Common. The event will bring live music, craft ciders and beers, street food, and an artisan market, making it an ideal family day out.
Organisers have released all the food stalls signed up so far, and they certainly cater to every taste. From ‘dirty’ doughnuts and fusion Indian street food to gooey cookies, there is a huge variety on offer.

The inaugural event is also family friendly, with face-painting and children’s entertainment, including three age group-specific bouncy castle areas. There’s even something for four-legged members of the family, with a bakery just for pets.
Organisers have said there is enough seating available for 300 people, but you can bring along camp chairs. Early bird adult tickets are still on sale for £8, and children below the age of five are free.
There will also be live music from Two Weeks Notice, Chasing Deer and singer-songwriter Abi Foster. There is also a Gin and Pimms tent and wine bar.
