Dontae’s will be open 4 to 9 p.m. with a regular menu. Enjoy pizza, the house pizza oven specialty sandwiches and paninis, cheesy bread appetizers and more with pinball machines.

Heady’s in Evansville and Henderson will be open regular hours, 10 a.m.-2 a.m. Have a famous Chicken Blah Blah pizza with ranch and bbq sauces, grilled chicken, bacon, onion and tomato or one of many other specialty pizzas, or choose wings, a salad, pasta, a hot sub or even a breakfast sandwich.

Journey will be open 10:30 a.m.-1 a.m. with a full menu of Chicago-style fried fish, fried chicken, sandwiches including gyros, Philly beef, Italian Beef and much more, including favorite desserts brought from Chicago.

Ma T 888 will be open regular hours, 11 a.m.-10 p.m., with all your Chinese restaurant favorites, from crispy calamari to kung pao beef.

Sakura will be serving 11 a.m.-10 p.m. with a menu of Japanese favorites from sushi to noodles, fried rice, bento boxes and more. Ask about carry-out and delivery.
Sam’s Southern Eatery, 420 S. Green River Road; 812-401-2220
Sam’s Green River Road store will be open 10:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m., serving fried and griddled fish, shrimp and chicken, sandwiches, gumbo and much more. The First Avenue and Henderson locations will not be open Christmas Day. Ask about carry-out and delivery.
Szechwan Chinese Restaurant, 669 N. Green River Road; 812-479-7600
Szechwan restaurant will be open 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. serving Chinese favorites from the familiar to the exotic and spicy. Ask for the authentic Chinese menu if you’re feeling adventurous. No reservations will be accepted for Christmas Day.

The 3rd Street Saloon will be open from 4 p.m. until 3 a.m. with a limited menu. Look for creative pub grub, hearty servings and extreme sandwiches.
Carrying out and ordering ahead

Fat Boy’s will be open for carry out or Door Dash delivery 3-9 p.m. Christmas Day. On the menu are pizza, stromboli sandwiches including a sloppy Joe-style Fat Boy, wings and more. There’s even a keto bowl with chicken, cheese and veggies.

The Fire and Smoke truck will be taking pre-orders for smoked ham, pork butt, brisket, turkey legs and whole turkeys, and prime rib. Call for pricing and availability.

Lashbrooke’s will be taking Christmas pre-orders for pickup on Christmas Eve.
Pappa Bear’s Catering and Food Truck, 812-568-8890
Pappa Bear’s truck partners with Dewig Meats in Haubstadt and will offer a Christmas menu with numerous options. Meals are for pick up and will be cold, ready for reheating. Desserts from the Sassy Sweets Confections truck will be available, as well.

Read St. will be offering a menu for Christmas Eve pick up. A family pack with 2 racks of ribs, 2 pounds of pulled pork, three sides, bread and dessert is $150. Items are also offered a la carte, including whole pecan, chocolate or chess pies. Orders must be in by Fri, Dec. 17.
