Despite the dirge of restaurants closing during the pandemic, plenty of new restaurants are opening and keeping the scene fresh this spring. I have many confessions I could make about well-loved Columbia eateries that I have yet to attend in my thus far yearlong stay here. Until recently, Irmo’s Sun Ming was on the list.

There’s not much to say about the highly regarded Chinese restaurant that hasn’t been said already — except that I can humbly agree with the hype.
