Popular local burger chain Gott’s Roadside is opening its second San Francisco location this month, right next door to Chase Center.

“We’ve had our eye on Mission Bay as a neighborhood for several years because it’s the fastest growing neighborhood in San Francisco,” said Gott’s Roadside President Clay Walker in a press release. “While Gott’s typically likes to move into more mature markets and add value where there’s already an audience, we are very flattered and humbled to be a part of the biggest development in San Francisco in the last decade.”

The 4,000-square-foot new restaurant is at Thrive City, the plaza surrounding Chase Center. It features an outdoor plaza and an Airstream trailer serving beer and wine, paying tribute to Gott’s roots as a roadside stand. The menu will feature all the Gott’s classics, including the California burger served with a fried egg, the kimchi burger and ahi poke crispy tacos. There are also slated to be some Chase Center-themed specials for Warriors fans, such as soft-serve cones with blue and gold sprinkles.

Gott’s Mission Bay is set to open Sept. 17, making it the seventh location of the Bay Area restaurant, not including the restaurant’s San Francisco International Airport outpost, which is listed as temporarily closed on the Gott’s website.

Brothers Joel and Duncan Gott opened the first first Gott’s Roadside in 1999 in St. Helena, serving California-inspired dishes with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
