Alpharetta
Shake Shack opens a fifth metro Atlanta location later this year on Haynes Bridge Road. The restaurant features a drive-thru window.
Up on the Roof, a rooftop restaurant serving Southern comfort food and cocktails, opens this summer at Liberty Hall on South Main Street in the heart of downtown Alpharetta.
Armour
Victory Brands, the group behind Victory Sandwich Bar, LLoyd’s, and Little Trouble, plans to open a new restaurant concept at the recently opened Indie Studios complex on Ottley Drive.
Battery Atlanta
Eataliano Kitchen opens this spring next to Park Bench at the Braves stadium complex.
Mac McGee opens a second location at the Battery Atlanta this summer. The menu for the Cobb County location will be similar to the Roswell restaurant.
Silverspot Cinema, a two-story, dine-in theater, opens in May and will feature ten movie theaters with seats that fully recline, a separate cocktail bar, and a full-service food menu.
Berkeley Park
The Daily opens on Trabert Avenue next spring. The Charleston-based coffee shop and cafe is owned by Michael and Melody Shemtov, who also own Butcher and Bee in Charleston and Redheaded Stranger in Nashville.
Bolton
Corner Grille is opening on Marietta Boulevard in the former Westside Pizza space serving Cajun and Creole fare.
Juniper Cafe, Vietnamese restaurant and bakery from Lazy Betty owners Ron Hsu and Aaron Phillips, open this summer at Westside Village.
Spiller Park opens its third location this fall at the Publix-anchored Moores Mill Center complex.
Brookhaven
Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q opens a third location by next summer in the former Hudson FC International Sports Pub space at Brookhaven Station on Peachtree Road.
Buckhead
Fetch the Old Fourth Ward dog park and bar opens its second Atlanta location at Buckhead Village District by spring.
Le Bon Nosh market and all-day cafe opens at the Irby apartment complex this spring.
Lucian Books and Wine, owned by Atlanta sommelier Jordan Smelt (Cakes and Ale) and former Cover Books owner Katie Barringer, opens in early June at Modera Buckhead along Peachtree Road.
Red Phone Booth is opening on Peachtree Road. Themed after a 1920s speakeasy serving pre-Prohibition and Prohibition-era cocktails and a vast selection of whiskey, bourbon and scotch, people access the bar by dialing a secret code inside an antique red phone booth.
Sweetgreen, the billion-dollar salad chain, expands to Atlanta with at least two new locations.
Capitol View
A Mano opens next summer on Sylvan Road. First reported. Opened in 2017 at the corner of Ralph McGill Boulevard and Glen Iris Drive, owner George DeMeglio hopes to begin construction on the restaurant this summer.
Castleberry Hill
Atlantucky Brewing from Southern rap quartet Nappy Roots opens as a microbrewery in the historic downtown Atlanta neighborhood this year.
Neyow’s Creole Cafe, the New Orleans-based restaurant, opens an Atlanta location on Walker Street.
Chamblee
Antiguo Lobo opens this spring on Peachtree Road in historic downtown Chamblee. Owned by Jesús Oñate Jr., Antiguo Lobo (“old wolf”) honors his late father with a menu featuring dishes from multiple regions around Mexico.
Spice and Sky, a rooftop bar and restaurant opening in June at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Chamblee, hired Bhojanic and Tandoori Pizza and Wing Co. chef and owner Archna Becker to help develop and consult on the menu.
The Distillery of Modern Art plans to open this spring on Irvindale Way near the Chamblee MARTA station. The building will house a distillery producing vodka, gin, whiskey, and possibly an amaro or herbal liqueur.
College Park
The Breakfast Boys all-day brunch restaurant opens this spring in the former Kafenio space on Main Street in College Park.
Cumming
Cubanos ATL, the tiny house-based Cuban sandwich shop, takes over the Southern Filling Station space in April at the Cumming Marketplace shopping complex.
Decatur
Hattie Marie’s Texas Style BBQ expands to Decatur this year.
Hodgepodge Coffeehouse opens another location this spring on the edge of Decatur.
Inner Voice Brewing opens next spring in the former Big Tex restaurant space on West Ponce.
Downtown
Mr. Fries Man, a LA-based restaurant specializing in loaded French fry platters, is opening its first Georgia location on Decatur Street this spring.
Wild Leap opens a location with two levels this fall at Centennial Yards South, part of a 50-acre redevelopment of the historic Gulch and railyards.
Duluth
Hattie Marie’s Texas Style BBQ expands to Duluth this year.
Dunwoody-Perimeter
The Hall at Ashford Lane, a nine-stall food hall, opens inside the former Henredon Furniture store at Perimeter Place (soon to be renamed Ashford Lane) on Olde Perimeter Way.
East Atlanta
Pollo Supremo opens for pollo asado, sides like rice and beans and elote, soup, family meals, and desserts such as churros and flan.
Southern Feed Store, a six stall food hall anchored by Brazilian coffee and cocktail bar Buteco, takes over the former Graveyard Tavern space on Glenwood Avenue this summer.
Victorian Atlanta x Bellwood Coffee plant shop and coffee bar opens in May inside a 100-year-old home currently under renovation near the Flatiron Bar.
East Cobb
Gusto! opens a sixth metro Atlanta restaurant at the Parkaire Landing development in East Cobb this summer. It will be the second location with a drive-thru.

Hippin’ Hops brewpub adds a second location later in the year at the Hosea and 2nd development.

Fetch Park opens by the end of the year at the Works complex, an 80-acre development that includes food hall Chattahoochee Food Works.
Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q opens a second location at the Works next to Chattahoochee Food Works.

Holiday Bar, an open-air bar that takes advantage of the Interlock’s open-container license, opens this spring.

Amar Bien was to open at the Westside Village complex on Marietta Boulevard. Those plans were scraped while owners Howard and Anita Hsu scout new locations for the restaurant.
Bocado closes March 27 on Howell Mill Road, but owner Brian Lewis plans to reopen the restaurant known for its burger elsewhere, possibly in another westside Atlanta neighborhood.
Botanico Kitchen and Bar in Buckhead closed above Savi Provisions on Pharr Road, but plans to relocate the club-like Mexican restaurant and bar are already underway.
Dear Friend Bagels, owned by Dale Donchey of Spiller Park Coffee, will open as a bagel shop and delicatessen in Atlanta. Donchey tells Eater he’s eyeing space in downtown Atlanta.
Nourish Botanica, a sustainable greenhouse cafe owned by Quianah Upton, should open somewhere in South Atlanta by the end of 2021.
